Key Requirements:
- Application Approval: To qualify for the grant, it’s essential that you create a Solar PV grant application and receive approval.
- Completion Timeline: Once your grant approval is granted, you will have 8 months to complete the installation and submit a Declaration of Works which will be done alongside the help of our staff in the office.
Who is Eligible?
The following groups are eligible for the Solar PV Grant:
- All homeowners, including private landlords.
- Homes built and occupied on or before 31st December 2020.
- No previous funding for Solar PV at the same Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN).
Preparing to Apply
Before applying for the grant, consider the following steps:

Arrange a BER Certificate: Eco Green Resources arrange for a Building Energy Rating (BER) assessor to evaluate your home.
Grant Values for Solar PV Installation
The grant is allocated on a pro-rata basis as follows:
- €700 per kW for the first 2 kW (e.g., for a 2kW system, the grant value would be €1,400).
- €200 for each additional kW up to a maximum of 4 kW.
Total Grant Cap:
– Maximum grant value of €1,800:
– €1,600 for a 3kW system.
– €1,800 for 4kW system.
For example, a 2.5kW system would qualify for a grant of €1,500.

SEAI Application procedure
Applying for the SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) Solar PV grant involves several steps. Here’s a guide to help you through the process:
1.Check Eligibility
Before starting your application, ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements for the SEAI Solar PV grant:
- You must own a home or property in Ireland.
- The installation must be carried out by a registered contractor.
- The system must meet the SEAI’s specifications.
2.Your Registered Contractor: Eco Green Resources
- Visit the SEAI website to find Eco Green Resources in list of SEAI-registered solar PV installers
- Request your quote from us and choose one based on your needs and of course budget.
3.Use your detailed Quote:
- We will give you a detailed quotation that includes the system specifications, installation costs, and any additional work needed.
4.Complete the Solar PV Grant Application Form with the help of our Office Staff:
- Apply online and/or Download the SEAI Solar PV grant application form from the SEAI website.
- Fill out the application form with the necessary information, ensuring that all details are accurate.
5.Gather Supporting Documentation
- Prepare the required documentation to submit with your application and any other documents specified in the application guidelines.
6.Submit Your Application
- Send your completed application form and supporting documentation to the SEAI via the SEAI portal.
7.Await Confirmation
- After submitting, you will receive confirmation from SEAI regarding the status of your application. They may get in touch for additional information or documentation if needed.
8.Installation of Solar PV System
- Once your application is approved, we will schedule the installation and complete you NC6.
- We ensure that the installation is performed according to SEAI requirements.
9.Post-Installation Requirements
- After the installation is complete, you may be required to submit a completion form along with any relevant information to SEAI to finalize the grant process. Which will be done alongside our team in the office. Your new BER Certificate will be included in your quotation..
10.Receive Your Grant Payment
- Upon completion and approval, you should receive the grant payment as outlined in your application.

Electric Vehicle Charger Grant Information: Starting January 1, 2024, the Electric Vehicle Home Charger Grant will have a maximum amount of €300 for new applications.
About EV Charger Scheme The Electric Vehicle Home Charger Grant is a government-funded initiative designed to help homeowners install electric vehicle charging points on their properties.
Eligibility: Homeowners can apply for the grant regardless of whether they currently own an electric vehicle.
Grant Specifications
– The scheme exclusively supports smart chargers that are registered on the SEAI’s Smart Charger Register, which can be accessed on the SEAI website.
– The payment for the grant is typically processed within 6 to 8 weeks after the necessary documents have been submitted to the SEAI.
Who is Eligible for the EV Charger Grant?
To qualify for the grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
– You must have off-street parking available at your residence where the electric vehicle can be charged.
– Your MPRN (Meter Point Reference Number) will be used to verify your home’s location.
– Your property must not have previously received an EV home grant or payment.
– Do not install the Electric Vehicle Charger before applying for the grant.
– You have six months from the date of your offer letter to complete the installation.
