Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and your rights under the GDPR.
Last updated: [DATE — set at launch]
1. Who we are
Eco Green Resources Ltd, trading as EGR Solar (“EGR”, “we”, “us”), is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a residential solar installer based in Tipperary, serving Munster and South Leinster.
- Registered in Ireland, company number 622959
- Registered address: Unit 10, Tipperary Technology Park, Rosanna Road, Tipperary, E34 H725
- Contact: info@egr.ie · +353 818 911 910
2. What information we collect
When you request a quote through our website form, we collect the details you provide, which typically include:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your eircode and county / address
- Any additional information you choose to include about your property or enquiry
We also collect limited technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.
3. Why we use your data and our lawful basis
We use your personal data to respond to your enquiry, prepare a tailored solar quote, contact you about it (including the callback you request), and — if you proceed — to design, arrange and deliver your installation and aftercare.
Our lawful bases under the GDPR are:
- Consent — when you submit the quote form and ask us to contact you, and for any optional marketing.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and provide the services you have asked about, in a way you would reasonably expect.
- Contract / legal obligation — where we proceed to a contract or must meet legal and regulatory requirements. [CONFIRM with compliance]
4. How your data is stored and who we share it with
Your enquiry is stored and managed in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, GoHighLevel (HighLevel), which acts as a data processor on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver the service you have requested or where we are legally required to, for example with:
- The SEAI and/or a registered BER assessor, where we administer your grant — limited to the details needed to process the grant application
- Our finance partner, Finance Ireland, where a customer applies for finance — limited to the details needed to process the finance application
- Service providers who help us run our business (e.g. our CRM provider), under appropriate data-processing terms
- Our advertising and analytics providers — Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (the Meta/Facebook Pixel) and Google — but only where you consent to marketing or analytics cookies, to help us measure and improve our advertising
All installation work is carried out by EGR’s own team; we do not share your personal data with, or have it retained by, third-party installation subcontractors.
Some of these providers — including GoHighLevel, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (and its group companies) and Google — may process or store data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards required under the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above. Enquiry and customer records are retained for 12 months, after which they are securely deleted.
6. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (DPC).
7. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@egr.ie or by post at the registered address above. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (normally one month).
8. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential analytics and marketing cookies — including marketing technologies such as the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) and Google’s advertising tools — only load after you consent via our cookie banner, and can be declined. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the “last updated” date revised accordingly.
