- Any additional information you choose to include about your property or enquiry
We also collect limited technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.
3. Why we use your data and our lawful basis
We use your personal data to respond to your enquiry, prepare a tailored solar quote, contact you about it (including the callback you request), and — if you proceed — to design, arrange and deliver your installation and aftercare.
Our lawful bases under the GDPR are:
- Consent — when you submit the quote form and ask us to contact you, and for any optional marketing.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and provide the services you have asked about, in a way you would reasonably expect.
- Contract / legal obligation — where we proceed to a contract or must meet legal and regulatory requirements. [CONFIRM with compliance]
4. How your data is stored and who we share it with
Your enquiry is stored and managed in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, GoHighLevel (HighLevel), which acts as a data processor on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver the service you have requested or where we are legally required to, for example with:
- Our installation teams and subcontractors involved in your project [CONFIRM]
- The SEAI for grant administration, and a registered BER assessor, where relevant [CONFIRM]
- Our finance partner (Finance Ireland) if you choose a finance option [CONFIRM]
- Service providers who help us run our business (e.g. our CRM provider), under appropriate data-processing terms
[CONFIRM whether any processor stores or transfers data outside the EEA (e.g. GoHighLevel / Meta / Google in the US). If so, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses must be in place and described here.]
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. [CONFIRM retention period — e.g. enquiries not converted to customers retained for X months; customer records retained for X years for warranty, tax and legal purposes.]
6. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (DPC).
7. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@egr.ie [CONFIRM] or by post at the registered address above. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (normally one month).
